On Thursday 4th December 2014, The Grain Store and CERES Fair Food will host a dinner in support of the work of theAsylum Seeker Resource Centre.
Like our last two Full Moon dinners at The Grain Store executive chef, Ingo Meissner, will prepare a special meal featuring an abundance of locally grown, fresh produce set at communal tables. (Get in quick – these events sell out really fast) .
Guest speakers include;
- Ruby Prior from the ASRC talking about the key challenges asylum seekers face and ways you can get involved to help the ASRC.
- Ameen Al Jamali, a leading hand at CERES Fair Food, describes his journey from Iraq to Australia and also the help he received from the ASRC to find employment at Fair Food
- Jesse Hull, CERES Fair Food manager, talks about how employing asylum seekers isn’t charity at all but actually makes Fair Food a better enterprise.
