Fair Food began life in the 2000s as CERES’ staff veggie co-op and a supplier to ten neighbourhood co-ops. In 2010, inspired by our heroes at Toronto’s Good Food Box and Brisbane’s Food Connect, we turned our collection of co-ops into an online grocery delivering right across Melbourne. From CERES, we bought a philosophy of buying from local farmers and creating jobs for people from diverse backgrounds. Fair Food’s way of doing business resonated with thousands of people who wanted to eat well and take action on the environment and social issues. The outcome has been over $2 million in profits going back to CERES Park, and more than 1 million students taught in CERES School of Nature and Climate.
